Mar Garcia Drafting Aprendemas 07/11/2008 Print Send feedback Now they are the ones who make note excellent and almost reaches the perception of the Spanish education system that are immigrants. The Pfizer Foundation has released the "Study on immigration and Spanish education system" in which education has been analyzed in Spain in the general population, teachers and immigrants with the main objective of knowing the views on the inherent characteristics of the system as are mandatory, universal and free education. As explained by the director of the Pfizer Foundation, Francisco Pascual Spanish education system is valued in a "very positive" because, in his view, "all aspects analyzed get high scores by all three segments surveyed." Most of the findings underscore the good perception of the Spanish education system in the three groups surveyed also coincide on many opinions about everything when it comes to affirm that the adaptation has been positive. In this regard, the three groups studied have a positive overall assessment of the Spanish education system, the immigrant population is what gives you the highest rating (7.94 points compared to 6.3 for teachers and 6.02 of the Spanish population). In the same vein, be returned to immigrants who are more satisfied in relation to the preparation of teachers, access to the sites or the number of centers in relation to the population. Not so in the case of aid for schooling, where the general population and immigrants, drop the note. Quality in Education With regard to the quality of education at different educational levels, teachers receive a higher quality than the general population. According to the Spanish population, the highest level is in the university stretch (7.28) and the Early Childhood Education (7.22), while teachers gave the highest mark in Kindergarten (8.48) and Primary (8.0) . Both segments agree to give the lowest valuation to the cycle of the ESO (6.62 and 6.32 teachers general population). The report by Pfizer also wanted to know the views of these groups on the subject of Citizenship Education which receives more support from the general population (60.8%) than teachers (56.4%). Around, keeping the subject of religion as an elective subject, there are divergences among the general population and teachers because the former are supporters of keeping well (an 77.9%) while teachers prefer that ceases to be optional (53.5%). Free education, a meeting point Free and open access to education is a right supported by 98% of respondents although this support is declining, especially among teachers, when asked about the age limit for the compulsory education, which currently stands at the 16 years (after finishing secondary school), which supports 79%. The figures also show a majority of parents enroll their children in public schools, especially immigrants (83%) compared with 78% of teachers or 58% of Spaniards. In the event of a choice, teachers expressed more confidence in public education (82.7%), while the general population opts for something more private schools. So, just over 10% of the children of the general population attends private schools, whereas 23% would like to register and almost 30% of immigrants to educate their children in these centers.
